I cannot point you to any specific document but I am currently running
SuSe Linux on and IFL lpars on a Z800 and it is working very good. I
also understand the Redhat works well also.

Greetings All,
I am in the process of doing an exploration for a proof of
concept project on using Linux on a zSeries box (z900). I am trying to
locate information on which flavor of Linux is best suited for various
types of deployments. I have looked in the archives but cannot seem to
find specifics addressing this. Can someone point me to specific doc
and/or personal opinions on whether SUSE or RedHat or some other
distribution is better suited for a zSeries deployment ?
Regards,
Paul
