I think polling the Linux guest for process data, while a time-honored
tradition, isn't a real winner.  Of much more interest is a process table
maintained by Linux in shared memory; memory that is shared with the CP
monitor.  By adjusting the sample rate, you get a fuzzier or more detailed
picture of processes and their states.  And no matter how often you check,
there's no additional [Linux] CPU required to make the check.
