Hello Dave,
There was a problem with WebSphere 5.0 under Linux with space during the
install. For some reason it was trying to double the required space for
install and I was running out, and the install was crapping out without any
warnings or errors. IBM recommended that I use the -w validate... flag
and that did correct the problem. I did not receive any messages until
after three hours though and if I recall correctly there was no indication
of successful install except in the log.txt file.

Two follow questions for you:
1. What does the -W validate.... switch do?
2. How much time passed until you got ANY msgs back....
we aren't getting any messages except the ones I noted
in my first email, and it's been running for an hour...

The WebSphere install will take a while. I had it run over 3 hours on=
