Hello all,
I am having trouble implementing vdisk (SWAP) on an SLES9
Linux instance.
I can do an insmod of the appropriate dasd_fba_mod, but at boot time,
I get the message that it cannot find the abovementioned. It's eckd
relative is there, as I want to utilise fba (vdisk) for a swap
device, this is not much use to me.
Do I have to run mkinitrd and zipl after
amending /etc/sysconfig/kernel to include fba support??.
I would have thought that SuSE would have included these drivers as
standard (default).
We have a pre-GA SLES9 that works fine with vdisk, when I issue an
lsmod command the dasd_fba_mod is there as it should be.
Any ideas?
TIA
John Cassidy
