To put a finer point on it: Issue a CP MSG command to another server (e.g.
running PROP or WAKEUP) that will issue the SIGNAL command OR move the
SIGNAL command to a different privilege class and give that priv to the
Linux server.

Don't give the Linux server more privilege than it requires.
