You mentioned rpmbuild, but I thought when I installed bacula via.... wait a minute, I didn't install bacula via yast (which normally brings down everything)...I had to download bacula.
The instructions said to CD to depkgs and do a 'make'. There it showed that I needed other packages (such as gcc and gcc-c++, which yast also brought in glibc-devel and libstdc++-devel) and I thought I was done with having the prereqs... But no...this was only for SQLITE. I need to make sure I have all the required packages for bacula. Back to the manual. If I were you I'd download the Bacula source RPM, and run rpmbuild on it. The SuSE rpmbuild should do the trick, and it presumably knows what pre-reqs it needs and doesn't.
