Sorry, I'm not familiar with SA.
You may be able to do something with NJE messaging, if you have RSCS.
You could also use the syslog feature in USS to send a message to the
syslog daemon on VM, which can trigger a prop event... there are a lot
of pieces in that puzzle.

course) in a batch job, so the shutdown -z is possible on a scheduled
basis.
Is there a way to do this XAUTOLOG function with a trigger coming from z/OS
automation?

If you are referring to signal shutdown support, yes. We can shut down
Linux guests from a CMS machine, then restart it with XAUTOLOG.
