Ok, looks like you have some syntax error in /etc/apache2/conf.d/mod_php4.conf. Can you post that file?
Secondly you can move that file to somewhere else and try bringing up Apache. Apache as configured here seems to look for virtual hosts under the /etc/apache2/conf.d directory. This is what I see in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf.
