A Google search on libcrypto.so.4 turns up a bunch of hits. Looks like that was the name OpenSSL used in older versions. What, exactly, are you trying to install that needs such an old version of SSL?

I am trying to install the following: rpm -ihv ? error: Failed dependencies: libcrypto.so.4()(64bit) is needed by ? libssl.so.4 ()(64bit) is needed by ? These modules do not exists in SuSE SLES9x. However, they exist as part SuSE packages: openssl-0.9.7d-15.13 /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so.0 /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so.0.9.7 /usr/lib64/libssl.so.0 /usr/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.7 Recent versions of openssl call this libssl.so.0.9.7 and libcrypto.so.0.9.7 with soft links to .so.0. Do I have the correct modules installed and the RPM package is wrong or is there something I need to install? libcrypto.so.4 and libssl.so.4 are not part of any SuSE package that I can find. Thanks.
