We are indeed using different userids and passwords for the different shares, since these shares are used for storing images of medical forms and such. My Win2K system is as up to date as I can make it -- I can't find any outstanding updates to be applied. I found a couple of user group posts of other folks havin the same problem: it seems to be strictly NT and 2000.
