At least on the z/OS 1.4 system here, IND$DFILE is included..

Looking at the x3270 session on Linux, there's a File -> Transfer that
should do the trick. Most termulators have this ability. It does
require the IND$FILE program on the host. For z/VM that used to be a
separate product but it has been included in the base since some time
afaik. Dunno how that is on MVS.
