I'm confused (as usual) by Linux's perception of things. In a 192MB virtual machine, /proc/meminfo shows 196112384 as the total memory. That isn't (quite) 192MB by any formula I've come up with. In a 256MB virtual machine, /proc/meminfo shows 259629056 as the total memory. That also isn't (quite) 256MB.
I actually care about getting this right, because I'm trying to programmatically analyze a Linux guest. Does anyone understand the formula? -- ...phsiii Phil Smith III Levanta, Inc.
