I use Yahoo for these lists so that they will not flood my client's blackberry
with messages. My client also blocks access to the public web email services.
My solution is to view the three main lists I am interested in via their
listserv web interfaces. I can read and reply to these messages from work. Then
when I get home I can fairly quickly delete all of the messages that I had
already read and do not want to keep. 

And because of Yahoo's email allowance, I do not have to put up an away message
when I go on a week's vacation.
