That job will probably also load a lot of data in the page cache of a big virtual machine, so I would expect the virtual machine end up in the eligable queue. When it happens again you should at least be able to spot that with #CP IND QUEUE from MAINT
I have shutdown Linux and logged the image off and it still happens when I come back up.
