At least this problem should actually be solved: you can send a control-c
to the 3215 console by sending the two characters
  ^c
on a line for themselves.  (That's the "caret" character.)

Likewise for ^d and ^z.

I've tried that with x3270 as my client terminal program... it's never
worked.  Any idea as to why?
