Yes. Supernetting is supported, although the math we make you do is a bit more complicated :-) Of course, we do the math for you in 5.2 (novel idea, huh?).
BTW, VARSUBNETTING has been the "unchangeable default" since z/VM 4.3, so there's no need to specify it.
