The only connection that shows up with that IP address is the SLES10 I am
trying to install, and the IP address only shows up while I am actively
trying to boot Linux.
I also checked the OSA, and the address I am trying to use is showing up on
the OSA. I changed the IP address, re-booted Linux, got the same "IP
address already registered" error, but now the OSA shows the new IP address
and not the previous one. Same for Q VSWITCH SWITCH01 DETAILS.

Try 'Q VSWITCH switchname DETAILS'
See if there is still an active connection using that IP address.
