Mine is set via /etc/profile.d/alljava.sh called from /etc/profile

Which, I assume, was added as part of the JRE installation.

Mark,

The echo $PATH has /usr/lib/java/bin in it. But jre is not specified
anywhere.

Being fairly new to Linux, how do you add to the $PATH?

Thanks,
Dave
