I personally recommend _not_ putting your root file system in an LV. However, since you want to do that, _exactly_ how is it failing?

A quick google , showed a hit , in which the solution was to run "fdasd -a " . I opened another SSH session, and tried the "fdasd -a" command, but that failed also. Has anyone been successful with putting root on an LVM and is willing to share their steps and procedures they went through to get there.
