Any new Mac is Intel-powered, now, and has been for 6 months or so.

Sounds like my first-generation MacBook Pro, except that it runs OS X -
itself a major reason to get a Mac. Parallels Desktop is a great way to run
Windows or Linux on it, in an OS X window.
