I need another set of eyes.... Bionic ones would be nice. Anyway, I'm using the mksles9root.sh from http://linuxvm.org/Patches/S390/mksles9root.sh which should be the current one. I have the 3 s390x SP3 images in the same directory as the install iso images: -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 601272320 Mar 13 12:05 SLES-9-SP-3-s390x-GM-CD1a.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 654372864 Mar 13 12:07 SLES-9-SP-3-s390x-GM-CD2a.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 662065152 Mar 13 12:08 SLES-9-SP-3-s390x-GM-CD3a.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 604880896 Sep 26 2005 SLES-9-s390x-RC5-CD2.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 466620416 Sep 26 2005 SLES-9-s390x-RC5-CD3.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 509405184 Sep 26 2005 SLES-9-s390x-RC5-CD4.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 673800192 Sep 26 2005 SLES-9-s390x-RC5-CD5.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 664592384 Sep 26 2005 SLES-9-s390x-RC5-CD6.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 suse9 users 327061504 Sep 26 2005 SLES-9-s390x-RC5a-CD1.iso -rw------- 1 suse9 users 601460736 Mar 13 12:09 SLES9-SP-3-s390x-GM-CD1.iso Looks good to me. When I try to execute the script: linux20:/home/suse9/s390x # ./mksles9root.sh -m s390x Making a SLES9 install tree ... The tree named sles9xroot/ will be SLES9 without any service packs ... Making the directory structure ... Mounting ISO images loopback ... Mounting sles9xroot/sles9/CD1/ ... Mounting sles9xroot/core9/CD1/ ... Mounting sles9xroot/core9/CD2/ ... Mounting sles9xroot/core9/CD3/ ... Mounting sles9xroot/core9/CD4/ ... Mounting sles9xroot/core9/CD5/ ... Making symbolic links ... Creating yast/*order files ... Creating files for SLES9... The install tree is built under sles9xroot/ linux20:/home/suse9/s390x # Well, I do have the service packs and they seem to be the proper names. There is obviously something else wrong. I thought perhaps the iso images were bad, but I could manually mount them without any problems. Any suggestions on what else may be wrong? Thanks Tom Duerbusch THD Consulting
