If they were counting properly, Linux on the mainframe would have had 
(perhaps?) exactly the same statistics as Linux in general.  For IBM's 
proprietary systems, I'm not sure they would have had access to that 
information.  And while you're at it, why not wonder about z/VSE and z/TPF?  It 
would be interesting to see those figures as well.
