It is useful as a stake in the ground.

If Win/NT has more lines of code then MVS, it would be logical to assume that 
WIN/XP even had more lines of code and Vista has more lines of code then have 
every been coded <G>.

No, this one (and many others like it) are not based on that metric.

References to Windows NT aren't much more useful than references to DOS 6.2.2 
these days.
