You are correct about the java errors, we finally got
the developer to admit the app was written with a
windows flavor.
I don't make the rules I just follow want I'm told to
do. But within the last hour the project has been put
on hold.

I have written perl (not Java) applications that would work under
different type of browsers. It takes considerable effort to make
applications this way but once you develop the initial routines, it
gets easier. I encourage you to talk to your developer to do so.
There is nothing more discouraging than to go to a web site and find
out that you have to switch from your Firefox (under Linux) to IE
under Windows just to be able to access information.
