Hi Rob, as there is no default file static-routes, I am not so happy by creating one, even more so as I found this piece of documentation:
"With the introduction of Redhat version 8 and continued into version 9, the /etc/sysconfig/static-routes file no longer seems to function correctly." http://www.akadia.com/services/redhat_static_routes.html The route table seems to originate now in a script called /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-routes. As I did not want to modify the script I added the required static "route add"'s to rc.local ... This is not a very elegant solution. But it was very important to me to make sure that the traffic between z/os and z-linux flows by means of the hipersocket interface and not by means of the OSA card. And I did not see any other possibility to make sure that this happens. If anyone has a more elegant solution, don't hesitate to let me know ... thanks.
