For more flexibility, security, and ease of use than what z/OS NFS offers, you might consider the Co:Z Toolkit, which uses SSH as its underlying network protocol.
Example: //COZCB2 JOB (),'COZ' //STEP1 EXEC PROC=COZPROC, // ARGS='[EMAIL PROTECTED]' //STDIN DD * # Any commands here run in a shell on the linux box fromdsn '//mvs1.my.data' > /u/id/my.file // In this simple example, the fromdsn command reaches back into z/OS over the secure SSH connection established by the Co:Z batch program and converts the MVS dataset to a stream that is written to stdout. For more information, see: http://dovetail.com/products/coz.html Also, if the process is initiated from the Linux side, you can use our free Dataset Pipes product, which can read and write MVS datasets over an SSH connection: http://dovetail.com/products/dspipes.html http://dovetail.com/docs/dspipes/cookbook.html#3_14 (an example) Kirk Wolf Dovetailed Technologies Britz, Anton - CO 7th wrote:
Hi, My Developers are asking me the following : I am having a problem figuring out the JCL to do the copy from z/os to the 'linux' file on the shared partition. Do you recall any details? The MVS job should like much like the z/os I think? The information contained in this email may be privileged, confidential or otherwise protected from disclosure.
