Nice for those with z/VM. I will grant that any serious z/Linux organization will eventually use z/VM. But, for a "proof of concept", those facility will not be available. So an IPLable LiveDVD which can be IPL'ed from the HMC might be nice, albeit not critical. Just get an LPAR (dynamincally acquirable on the z9, if the IOCDS is set up correctly), some DASD, IPL from the DVD and go. Does the z9 HMC have an ftp server on it so that it can be used as an ftp installation source? If not, that might be another nice enhancement for IBM to think about.
