It's ironic, isn't it, that the argument the AIX guy is using is the same one we used against AIX and Windows way back when....'Yes, they may be quicker for small things, but they have no security, no RAS, no management tools, etc'. That's what makes them quick and agile, not having all those cumbersome extras. Add all that stuff in and you get a much more complex system to run. That's what z/OS was when AIX was an infant, and what AIX is now that Linux is a toddler.
