It's not exactly new, but it isn't normally included on the distribution. (I don't yet know why not. Just about every person in Novell Technical Support asks for a supportconfig to be run for almost every problem.) It is specific to SUSE, but doesn't (yet) include a lot of mainframe related information gathering. I'm working on getting that changed.
