Hi,

I am looking into setting up a SLES10 image with an IBM 3494 tape library and
3-3592 tape drives.

It looks like I have a choice of using either the IBM s390x Linux Tape Driver
or the Lintape s390x Linux Tape Driver.

Is there a major difference between the two? I see that the Lintape is
opensource and the IBMTape is closed. As well as the kernel level, with
Lintape supporting a more updated kernel.

Looking at the readme files, they appear to behave similarly.
Is there any reason (stability, etc) why I should NOT go with Lintape?

Thanks,
Darren
