I am trying to set up linux to authenticate using the MVS ldap server. I am running Slack390 10.1. The articles I have read all describe using PAM and NSS together, but I don't believe that PAM can be easily used with Slackware. I have built and installed packages for sasl, openldap, and nss.
Can I do ldap authentication with NSS alone? Is there a PAM build for Slackware? If anyone has any experience in this area, any guidance you can give would be appreciated.
