Mark,
Looking back on this list to Dec. 2002, it looks like their 0x08 problem
was caused by not starting the address range on an even device.

I received this from one of my colleagues. I'm not aware of any public
documentation of these error codes (*please* correct me if I'm wrong), and
I haven't seen it discussed here before, so I don't have an answer for
them.
