If Alan is right with a buggy device driver, we should have a look at this
problem.
Could you please come up with more details:
- which Linux version is running?
- which z/VM version is running?
- how is the Hipersocket/GuestLAN device configured in z/VM and Linux?

Exists there already a PMR for problem tracking?
