I mentioned this previously on the list, but I thought I'd throw this
out there again.

We are in a POC with SLES10SP1 and Oracle on zSeries as a possible
replacement for a major Oracle implementation internally. We have
SLES10 up and running in a native LPAR and the zfcp driver is loaded and
(as far as we can tell) working. Our issue is connecting that HBA to
our existing SVC (where our main Oracle servers connect) in order to
allocate more disk from our ESS. I have triple checked the zoning and
this past weekend we even upgraded our SVC to 3.1.0.5. The SVC just
does not list the WWPN's of the z9 in its available ports for a new
host. I have a ticket opened with IBM on this, but I thought I'd pass
this along to the list in case anyone else has seen this. The only
difference I can see in this config is the Unit Type on our McData
switch. All other hosts show up as Unspecified or Direct Access
Storage. These connections from the zSeries box are showing up as
Channel Path C0 (or C1). All have link lights and should otherwise be
working fine.
