On zSeries systems the same piece of hardware can serve as either a FICON or an FCP interface depending on the way it is configured in the I/O definitions. These definitions are usually maintained by z/OS systems programmers. Are you sure your interfaces are configured correctly? The unit types you mention are the sort I would expect in the context of FICON rather than FCP. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
