On zSeries systems the same piece of hardware can serve as either a
FICON or an FCP interface depending on the way it is configured in
the I/O definitions. These definitions are usually maintained by
z/OS systems programmers. Are you sure your interfaces are configured
correctly? The unit types you mention are the sort I would expect in
the context of FICON rather than FCP.
