Mike, I would suspect that you are still not getting to your CD images. I
did some time ago use a free FTP server called Cerberos that worked on my
ThinkPad with XP. I normally suggest to my customers that we use a Linux or
Unix FTP server since many people have run into problems using Windows.
Novell now has their Starter System which is discussed earlier in this
listserv. I have used it to load some of my test servers and it works just
fine so since you have VM you may want to try that.
