It doesn't have to be a Zed for this, a lowly peecee and (probably) a
livecd (does opensuse have one?) would do. If you can't get a reall pc,
a virtual one (on a real one with hardware virtualisation), Windows and
Virtual PC or Virtual Server (both are foc downloads from Microsoft)
will do.

What works for opensuse will probably work on sles, and in this context,
anything that works on pc hardware should work on a Zed.
All very true John, but ironically if I am to dedicate more time on this
z systems are easier to get my hands on than PC's.
(if this were personal work, then PC's is the way I would go.)

If I can't get the other users off the systems, my way forward will
probably be to setup 2-3 Linux Guests just for LDAP.
That's really not hard to do, its just some minor documentation DASD,
IP's etc.

I was just hoping someone on this list may already have a working
SLES-LDAP setup and some knowledge to share about using the useradd &
usermod commands.
