We always make sure this never happens.  One miscue and you have
production data flowing into your DR system.  I think I misunderstood
exactly what it is that the original poster is trying to accomplish.

If you are trying to test your DR system in an LPAR that's connected to
the same LAN segment as your home system, yes, you have to change
MACPREFIX.
