According to the thread which starts at http://www2.marist.edu/htbin/wlvtype?LINUX-VM.73793 it would appear so (not sure about the encryption part). Pieter Harder recommended getting the package from ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/Linux/ in the archive/SLES9 subdirectory.
