As a general rule, the goal is "never" within the life of the distribution.  If 
such changes they do occur, it is usually when a service pack is released.  In 
the case of the kernel for System z, it may even happen via normal maintenance, 
if the risk is considered sufficiently low, and the benefit sufficiently high.  
But, as I said in my original note, the whole idea of an "enterprise" 
distribution is stability.  If someone wants "cutting edge" then SLES or RHEL 
is not the way to go.  The version currently in testing for the SLES11 beta is 
openssh-5.1p1.  I would not expect that to change between now and GA, but it 
might.
