I would recommend using PuTTY to connect to the new system, or VNC if you're not too many network hops away. (Network latency will drive you absolutely insane with graphical stuff after a while.) There's no need to SSH (or PuTTY) to NOVSTART, and then SSH from there to the new guest being built.
