The whole idea of a public key is that it _is_ public.  Anyone can be in 
possession of it, and I don't care.  If they're foolish enough to stick that 
key into a ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file, that doesn't do _me_ any harm, but I 
might do _them_ some harm by logging in and messing around with their system.
