I, for one, would be **EXTREMELY** interested in seeing some "hard
numbers" to support those assertions. Literally everything I've read
and heard about Linux on z utterly contradicts them. We are considering
a Proof of Concept project to evaluate running Oracle (and possibly
Websphere Application Server) on an IFL (one, initially) with z/VM. If
your shop's assertions above are even remotely close to reality, I am
duty-bound to inform my management that doing so may not be "all peaches
and cream".
