Does the storage device allow you to define the type of host that is connecting to it?
I know we have to specify a zSeries Linux host in the IBM type storage boxes since it uses a different lun number format than xSeries Linux does on the wire. If you have a host type field on the storage controller try changing it to a different type. It could be something wacky like a HPUX system or AIX that ends up working since those may coincidentally use the same lun number format as zSeries Linux. It's just something else to try while you wait for the vendor to get back to you. -- Jay Brenneman ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
