It is possible to mount smbfs from fstab. From your line i see that you have a ":" to much and some of the "/" changed to "\". The line should look like this:
\\ipaddres/dirname /dirname smbfs username=testid,password=testpw 0 0 And ofcourse, if you want it to automount at boot you change the last 0 to 1.
