Yes, I noticed last night after I added my own comment for making the list
dynamic instead of static that it had been marked duplicate.  Reviewing the
other (494224) request, I see that the author knows more than I do about the
technique to use to extract the information from the system; being
essentially an end-user with little knowledge of Linux internals, I was not
able to be that specific.  It seems to me that those of us with my level of
expertise (enough to get beyond a generic install/configuration, but not
enough to dig into internals) tend to get blown off because we can't
articulate solutions to our issues.

Yes, I was happy to see that I might at least be able to use my equipment
eventually by switching my modem to the ttyUSB port once YaST2 was enhanced.
Perhaps I have been a bit hasty about this,  but it seemed to me that my
(Sax2) request was being dismissed without being adequately evaluated.
