I suspect that might be your problem, although I'm not sure.  Try deleting them 
on the system from which the clones are copied and see if the next clone acts 
differently.  If so, stop zmd on the other systems (if it is running), delete 
those two files, and restart zmd.  (It's OK to shut it down again immediately 
if you don't normally keep it running.)
