There was some noise made about it a while back, but I haven't seen any 
announcements. Could have missed it, though. 

Be aware that both AFS and GPFS take significant planning and implementation is 
not trivial for either. On the other hand, there are significant benefits for 
non-Z systems for both.

We've done some with OCFS and some with GFS (as you well know...8-)). 

OCFS seems to do OK for small (2-3 node) clusters that are connected to or near 
the same segment. Same with GFS. 
AFS does better with distributed systems, but has some semantics differences 
that can cause some applications problems. I think the support for AFS is 
better than for OCFS or GFS (naturally); most of the distribution vendors don't 
understand any of the three very well.
