Yes I have tried that a couple of years ago using SLES8 or maybe SuSE Linux ver 7, can't remeber. It worked, and I actually succeded in booting NT4 (Yes it was that long ago) but it was painfully slow. Install took a couple of hours, at least half a day, and booting into login panel about half an hour. Totally useless!
