I would contact RH for support before doing that.. If the kickstart actually requires preformatted disks - that's a VERY BIG DEAL... and needs to be understood before it shoots you in the foot when you try to do things like automated provisioning using kickstart. I'm quite sure the kickstart process should format any disks with the right kickstart config incantation.. so would keep pursuing this.
